A 7-day cultural immersion into the heartland of Traditional Chinese Medicine — hands-on learning with real practitioners, curated meals, heritage accommodation, and guided exploration of Jinan, Shandong, one of China's oldest cities.

TCM Experience at it cradle

Crafted with institutions whose roots reach into the very origins of Chinese medicine, each YUNI journey is composed with a master's patience and a healer's care — for those who travel not merely to see, but to feel, to learn, and to carry something real back home.

Inside the Journey

Seven days rooted in one of China's oldest medical traditions — learning to read the body, slow down, and come home to something you didn't know you'd lost.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival
You arrive in Jinan and settle into Shunlu, a classical courtyard hotel in the heart of the city. The evening begins with a welcome dinner — Anhui cuisine, warm introductions, and a first look at the week ahead.

Day 2 — Pulse Reading & The Springs
The day opens at a TCM clinic, where a physician reads your pulse and offers a personal health assessment — your compass for the week. Afternoons belong to the city: Black Tiger Spring, the lantern-lit lanes of Baihua Zhou, a boat crossing Daming Lake. Dinner is hot pot, cooked in Jinan's famous spring water.

Day 3 — TCM Foundations
A full day of hands-on learning at Longxiang TCM Clinic. Morning sessions cover the essentials — Yin and Yang, the five organs, the meridian system. After a medicinal lunch, practitioners guide you through moxibustion, Gua Sha, and Tui Na. You leave knowing six acupressure points by touch — and how to use them at home.

Day 4 — Heritage, Herbs & the Senses
The morning is spent inside a century-old TCM museum, tracing the history of Chinese medicine through its artefacts and archives. The afternoon slows down: aromatic therapy, tea ceremony, and a hands-on encounter with eight classic herbs — felt, smelled, and understood.

Day 5 — Movement & Stillness
No clinic today. The morning is devoted to Ba Duan Jin — eight movements for energy and clarity. After a vegetarian lunch at a Buddhist temple restaurant, the afternoon brings Tai Chi. The day ends with a ceremonial banquet dinner, one of Jinan's most storied culinary traditions.

Day 6 — Mingshui Ancient Town
The group travels to Zhangqiu, a quieter world an hour from the city. A visit to the district museum, then an afternoon free to wander the lanes of Mingshui Ancient Town at your own pace. Dinner is Shandong home cooking, unhurried.

Day 7 — Tui Na & Farewell
A final Tui Na session — hands-on, practitioner-led, the culmination of the week's bodywork thread. A Shandong lunch, then a farewell dinner to close the journey. You leave with a personal wellness plan, a set of self-care skills, and seven days of living knowledge.

Discover YUNI Programme

Rooted in the land where Chinese medicine was born, YUNI moves beyond the surface of wellness — drawing from a living tradition that has never separated the body from the world around it.

YUNI Curated Stays

Shandong has welcomed travellers for a thousand years — we carry that spirit into every room, every meal, every moment of your stay. Each YUNI accommodation is handpicked for its cultural character and comfort, placing you in the heart of Jinan so that every moment — from the first morning to the last evening — feels like it was made for you.

Shandong — Go to the Source

Shandong is one of China's oldest regions — birthplace of Confucius, cradle of Chinese civilisation, and the province where Traditional Chinese Medicine took root. Three thousand years of philosophy, culinary tradition, and healing knowledge, still lived, not preserved.

This is where YUNI begins.
